Family Music (birth-6, with parent) top
These 45 minute classes provide exciting and creative ways to begin a lifelong love of music.In this integrated arts format class (songs, instrument exploration, rhymes, creative movement and dramatics, literature, visual art and sensory exploration), children gain musical knowledge and skills such as vocal development, rhythmic awareness, pitch and tempo discrimination, and musical form. Parents gain the confidence and skills to continue repetition of activities throughout their family week!
Parent and children birth-6 years old can experience this class together.
Siblings 8 months and younger receive free tuition.
Older siblings receive $5 off.
Fall Session: "Sing Me a Story"
September 28/29/Oct. 1 - November 16/17/19
The extra focus in this class will be on Singing Books. Our regular early childhood songs are complemented by these easy to learn, easy to incorporate in your life, books. All books are available at your local library or book store!
Winter Session: "Play Me an Instrument"
February 1/2/4 - March 22/23/25
The extra focus in this class will be on instrument demonstration. We will have several guest artists perform some of our favorite early childhood tunes live in class!
Spring Session: "Dance Me a Dance"
April 5/6/8 - May 24/25/27
The extra focus in this class will be on the simple dance moves to our favorite early childhood songs. Circle dances, jumping and freezing dances, 2 part dances, and simple line dances complement the early childhood music selections.

Music On My Own (ages 3-6, no parent) top
This hour and a half class is a great way for your child to branch out alone in a safe and secure environment. Please have your child bring a sack lunch. We will picnic lunch every day at class! Through songs, instruments, creative movement, listening, visual arts and literature, children learn about musical concepts such as: accelerando, accents, rests, rhythm and musical form, and recognize simple rhythms. The curriculum changes each 6 weeks! You child can explore and create on their own and then share with you each week with their at home materials.
Fall Session: "Lunch with Magic Flute"
September 28/Oct. 1 - November 2/5
The musical world of adventure is alive in Mozart's Magic Flute opera. We will study characters, learn German language in opera, act out scenes, sing songs and add to this famous opera. The opera and story come alive for your young learner!
Winter Session: "Lunch with Carnival of the Animals"
February 1/4 - March 8/11
Saint Saens wonderful carnival lends itself to our study of instruments, movement, tempo, and pitch. What animal's song will your child act out? Do they know which animal is played by the string bass? What tempo is the Tortoise played in? We'll all find out!
Spring Session: "Lunch with Stone Soup"
April 5/8 - May 10/13
This classic story comes alive through a kid opera. Working together, we will learn about the story, sing the opera, and make Stone Soup!

I Can Sing (ages 4-7, no parent) top
I Can Sing will introduce your young singer to a broad collection of folk, traditional, classical, and contemporary songs using an exceptional research-based curriculum. We incorporate dance, circle games, and fingerplays to enrich your child's experience of singing and musical expression. I Can Sing provides foundational singing techniques in a child-centered environment where they are not just learning music, but CREATING music.

Arietta (ages 7-11) top
An 8 week non-performing choir for grades 1-5. Emphasis is on introducing the student to the Northwest Community Youth Choir. Members may be invited to audition for admission into the year-long program at the end of the class or at the end of the spring semester. No Audition is necessary to participate in Arietta.

Recreational Music Making - Group Piano Class top
A class for adults who would like to learn piano in a stress-free, fun, group setting. This style of learning is perfect for those who have always dreamed of playing piano but never had the time, or those who learned as a child but would like to refresh their skills.
Recreational Music Making (RMM) is a non-performance based program. That means that you do not have to play in front of anyone unless you want to. You are in a group of beginners, just like yourself, who want to learn solely for their own satisfaction. RMM is all about learning a new, rewarding skill in a relaxed, welcoming environment. And having fun!
In this class you will learn note names, where they are located on the staff, chords, counting, note values and rhythm, plus learn new and familiar songs each week for fun! Class materials include a book and CD for home use.

Class Guitar I and IItop
Now is the time to start learning guitar while having fun! Learn basic guitar fundamentals at your own pace with the benefit of working with others in the group setting. Proper left and right hand technique, scales, power chords, how to read guitar tablature, and open chords will be covered as each student progresses. The goal of this class is to teach students how to use these skills in real life musical situations such as playing melodies, song writing, playing chord progressions, and even improvising.
Student provides own guitar; acoustic or electric guitars are acceptable.
