About the Musical Director
David Jensen, Musical Director, is in his twelfth year as Director of Choral Music and Drama at Prairie Ridge High School where he teaches AP Music Theory and directs five curricular choirs, three extra-curricular madrigal ensembles, the school musical, and also serves as the Fine Arts Department Co-Chair. The Acapella and Varsity Madrigal Choirs at PRHS have traveled to and performed in festivals from Florida to Canada, as well as at the Illinois All-State Music Festival.
David earned his B.M.E. from Illinois State University, and he holds a M.A. Ed from North Central College, a M.M. Ed from VanderCook School of Music, and an Ed.S administrative degree from Northern Illinois University. Over the past decade David has directed and produced over a dozen different productions, including NCMA's Summer 2007 production of "Oklahoma!" and Summer 2008 production of "Les Miserables".
He and his wife Sarah live in Crystal Lake and are the proud parents of five beautiful children.
